Welcome to Old Hollywood Candle Co. (“we,” “us,” “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of oldhollywoodcandleco.com (the “Site”) and any purchases, waitlist signups, or communications associated with it. By using the Site, joining a waitlist, or purchasing a product, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.

1. Who We Are

Old Hollywood Candle Co. is a small candle brand offering a signature scent and limited, themed candle drops. We do not maintain standing inventory beyond our signature scent, and drop items are sold in limited quantities until sold out.

2. Products, Drops & Availability

  • Signature Scent: Our signature scent (currently Ayala) is intended to be available on an ongoing basis, subject to production capacity and reasonable delays.
  • Drops: Limited, themed candles (“Drops”) are released periodically in limited quantities. Once a Drop sells out, it is not guaranteed to be restocked.
  • Waitlists: If a Drop sells out, customers may join a waitlist for that specific item. We may, at our sole discretion, produce a second and final run of a Drop if a waitlist threshold (currently 500 signups) is reached. Reaching this threshold does not guarantee a second run will occur, nor does it guarantee availability to any individual waitlist member (e.g., due to limited quantity relative to waitlist size).
  • The 21 Club: Our invite-only tier operates by waitlist and at our sole discretion. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access, membership, or notification within any specific timeframe.
  • We reserve the right to modify, limit, or discontinue any product, Drop, or program at any time without notice or liability.

3. Orders & Payment

  • All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.
  • Prices are listed in USD and are subject to change without notice, though changes will not affect orders already placed and confirmed.
  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including suspected fraud, pricing errors, or inventory issues, in which case any payment collected will be refunded.

4. Shipping

  • Estimated shipping timeframes are provided for convenience and are not guaranteed.
  • Risk of loss and title for products purchased pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier.
  • We are not responsible for delays, loss, or damage caused by the shipping carrier once an order has left our possession, though we’re happy to help you file a claim where applicable.

5. Returns, Refunds & Product Safety

  • Due to the nature of candle products, we generally do not accept returns once an item has shipped, except in cases of damage or defect. Please contact us within 7 days of delivery if your order arrives damaged or defective.
  • Candle Safety: Always burn candles within sight, away from flammable materials, drafts, children, and pets. Trim wicks before each use. We are not liable for damages resulting from improper use, misuse, or failure to follow standard candle safety practices.

6. Email & SMS Communications

  • By subscribing to our email list, SMS list, or waitlist, you consent to receive marketing and informational communications from us (e.g., Drop announcements, waitlist updates, blog content).
  • Message and data rates may apply for SMS. Message frequency varies.
  • You may unsubscribe from emails at any time via the link in any email, and from SMS by replying STOP.
  • Consent to receive marketing communications is not a condition of any purchase.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, the “Dear Delphine” character and column, blog posts, photography, and brand names (Old Hollywood Candle Co., Ayala, The 21 Club, and related names) — is the property of Old Hollywood Candle Co. or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our prior written permission.

8. Fictional Content Disclaimer

“Dear Delphine” is a fictional advice column featuring a fictional author and fictional reader letters, intended for entertainment purposes. Content in this column does not constitute professional advice (legal, medical, financial, or otherwise) and should not be relied upon as such.
